“At twenty years of age the will reigns; at thirty, the wit; and at forty, the judgment”
– Benjamin Franklin
Now I don’t for one second think my birthday warrants a 3-day celebration, let alone a webpage to commemorate it. But given we have a clan from across the high seas in town, I wanted to plan ahead for the inevitable siege of New York. Yes, a #hashtag is taking the piss, but will be used by friends to track our whereabouts.
On Tuesday 14th we have the Knicks v Brooklyn Nets at Madison Square Gardens and Wednesday 15th things kick off with Rory Leyne’s Mexican birthday dinner.
So below is the plan for my birthday weekender.

- Washington Sq Park
- Tour of West Village Galleries
- High Line

Now after a good few days hitting it hard, Saturday will be kept flexible. The idea is to meet for a hangover brunch at one of my favourite spots and let the day play out.

For the adventurous: Boat out to Red Hook (South Brooklyn) or train to MoMa PS1 (Astoria, Queens)
